Hotel Chocolat Hakodate

The hotel seems to have started as a dog-friendly place; there's still a paw-wash in the lobby, artwork of a canine family, and bathroom tiles of terriers. I regrettably took only one photo. The lobby, breakfast room, and bedroom were all in excellent condition. The neighborhood is rather quiet, but the hotel's close to the municipal building, a landmark that makes navigation by walking rather easy. I failed to sample the Patisserie Lapin de Neige, down the street toward the municipal building.

This is kinda old hotel but very well maintance. The room is quite spacey and very clean like other japanese hotel. Staff are nice and they serve healthy yummy breakfast. There is a famous Brick Mall not far from this hotel. You can reach there by walking.

The map is totally wrong for this hotel, took us to another hotel . Use google maps not the TripAdvisor one on the site. After walking a few km the wrong way, we got there using google maps rather than the one on trip advisor. The hotel itself is fine, above average business hotel rooms. Good size bathroom and soft bed. Staff have good English. Aircon does not work!!!!! Windows do open and it's a quiet area so no problems leaving them open. We paid 62,000 yen for a small double room, not bad value.
