Hotel WBF Grande Hakodate

Hotels clean and just renovated as everything looks new. The colour scheme is nice and classy on each floor and lobby area. Breakfast was value for money and the best corn soup I ever tried. They offer free wine, sake, fruit juice, milk and coffee from 3 pm to 10 pm. It was indeed very pleasant to rest at the lounge area with these drinks. Limousine bus from airport stops right in front of hotel. take note of the bus schedule as going to airport is limited. Take the tram from behind the hotel (walking distance of 5 mins) to Hakodate station and limousine from there to the airport. Cable car is just 10 minutes walk. However, in terms of sustainability, the hotel should cut down on the disposable room slippers and towels. We stayed for 3 days and we seems to have a new sets for 3 persons daily. The lobby should have an additional toilet. Access to lift should be installed with a device to verify user if they are the customer who stay there. Otherwise, this is good hotel and value for money.

The hotel is situated near Hakodate Station - about 3-5 minute walk away so that makes the location very convenient for commuting. The hotel itself is very nice and clean. There’s a lounge at the lobby where you can get some drinks and heat your food. Also, they do provide a welcome drink upon check-in - a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The rooms were ultimately clean and spotless. The toilet had a shower room in it and was also clean. The AC did a good job in keeping me cool all night during the hot summer. Excellent amenities and customer service. The onsen was also a big plus - indoor and outdoor tubs as well as a sauna. Highly recommended. I haven’t tried their breakfast but word of mouth says that the food there is great!

Great location in Hakodate, check in/ out very good. Friendly staff 5th level room with outside balcony was good for price, room was just big enough for 2 people as room in Japan are small ! Basic facilities but ok. Room was cleaned daily around 9-10am, vending machine outside lift “ cold drinks, beer “,breakfast available but we chose to explore outside. Hotel has a 24 hr convenience store “ Lawson’s “ across the road, trams close by to get around Hakodate ( easy & very good option )Taxis are usually in the area all the time. Water front 15 min walk either direction ( Starbucks, eateries, gift shops, ramen restaurant etc ) We would stay here again
