I spent 4 nights here and it is located at Nakajima Koen area. Close to IBIS Hotel and Relief Hotel. Subway Nakajima Koen exit 1 and you will see Ibis Hotel, next block is Marks Inn Sapporo. Many convenience stores around this area no matter 7 & I Holding, Family Mart or Lawson. You are able to walk to " Susukino " within 7-10 minutes. Even hotel itself is quite a bit old but comfortable. Free breakfast provided only bread, hot soup and coffee which is OK. Recommend for solo traveler or anyone seeking for a budget private room.

An unassuming little place in a great location. It fit our needs perfectly for an overnight stay in Sapporo. The room is very small but the bed was a good size (though admittedly we’re on the small side). It’s in a pretty area with easy access lots of sites and restaurants. Sapporo is a wonderful city, gorgeous in the fall, and we had a great time. Not a lot of English is spoken at the hotel but enough for a comfortable stay! We drove and there was free parking at the hotel, as well as complimentary breakfast. A lot of bang for your buck!! If you’re looking for a reasonably priced option in Sapporo, this is a great choice!!

The rooms at Marks Inn are very small, if there are two people one person needs to sit on the bed if the other needs to do any moving around but they are clean. The staff spoke hardly any English but they were very nice and patient with us and our poor Japanese skills. The included breakfast is quite meager with only bread, butter, jam, and hard-boiled eggs available. There appeared to only be a few (3-4) parking spaces specifically for the hotel but there was a large pay parking area just behind the hotel that had some of the best parking rates in the city (¥200/60 minutes with a discount of ¥1000 if you park 12 hours). The location is in the middle of the city, about 10-15 minutes walking to get to the clock tower. If you're coming from the north side of the city, know that it takes a long time to drive your way through the city streets to get to the hotel but it is easier to access from the southern side of the city. There are plenty of dining options available within a 10-minute walk on the street that goes through the middle of the downtown area. This was a fine option for accessing city sights but be prepared for small rooms and have patience if driving through the city to get there.
