Ramada Encore by Wyndham Amagasaki

This will be a relatively short and simple review as this is your bogstandard kind of Western chain hotel, the tl;dr that for the right price I'd gladly stay again. A short walk from Amagasaki station, right from the entry it gives off that 80s to early 90s vibe of Western hotels from the style to the service. Easy check in, very quick elevators. Standard room. Tiny, but has everything I need, including a desk. TV is rather crap and has the HDMI inputs disabled which is always disappointing. If smaller hotels can leave it unlocked, surely the bigger ones can. No real air conditioning to speak of, sadly, but a good, big window to open and let fresh air in. Alarm clock built into the headboard is neat, only see that in older hotels here in Japan. Used it once but it worked well. Buffet breakfast is alright but not really what I'd deem worth the price, especially with so many places within a quick walking distance to eat at. Nice deep bath in the combo bathroom, much appreciated. Decent internet connection. No ethernet, only wifi. Place wasn't kept very well cleaned. Found plenty of mold, lots of wall scrapes and marks, etc. Fine for the price but yeah, looks like parts of it haven't been cleaned since the 90s. This always surprises me to see in Japan, to see it just as bad as back home in Australia, but it is what it is. Doesn't truly bother me. Whenever I stay in the Osaka area I like to stay somewhere different, this was my first time in Hyogo. Amagasaki itself gives off a nice vibe, so I'm glad I stayed here. I recommend staying at this place if it's within your budget and not too far from where you plan to explore.

Ask for the largest room available.. The rooms are tiny. Not really big enough for couple, the "semi" size. Bathrooms are the best all over Japan. There is a big night life right outside the hotel . lots of places that open at 7pm til 3am just a few feet awa;y

Ramada Encore Wyndham Amagasaki opened in April 2023. However, it cannot be denied that it feels old because it still uses the facilities of its predecessor, Amagasaki Central Hotel. It is conveniently located near Hanshin Amagasaki Station and a large shopping street. The lobby is spacious and has chairs with a chic atmosphere. In addition to the welcome drink, one can of drink and snacks are served. The rooms on the 6th floor have separate washrooms, toilets, and bathtubs, and there are also closets. Everything you need is provided. The only things missing are an air purifier and a safe. There is a 20cm step to the bathroom, so you need to be careful when entering and exiting. BS broadcasts can be viewed. Breakfast was a buffet, but I felt that the selection was small.
