It's an older hotel. I booked a Japanese-style room, even though it was a hotel. All the rooms on the second floor seemed to be Japanese-style. I was alone, but the room seemed large enough for four people, so I was able to use it. The toilet, shower, and sink were all in one unit, so I thought it would be difficult for four people to stay. I used the large bath (small bath), but there were only two washing areas (showers) and the bathtub was about twice the size of a home bath, so I wondered what they would do if four people came at once. I think they could do a little more cleaning. I only stayed overnight, so that's about it for my review.

Himeji is known for its castle. Castle towns usually have good sake breweries. It's really hard for tourists to choose the best sake for a souvenir. The hotel has a good sake sommelier. We could compare 3 different tastes of sake as a set. I think we could choose the best sake for us.

Wonderful small hotel about 5-7 minutes’ walk from JR Himeji Station. Great, friendly service, and rooms come with all the usual Japanese hotel amenities, including a humidifier. Breakfast is simply wonderful! I had the western version and the almond toast, a Himeji special, was truly yummy. Rooftop public bath is somewhat small, and water wasn’t that hot. But it does come equipped with two massage chairs and a view of the city. (Nothing much to see though, it’s all urban buildings)
