It's an old hotel, but I felt like I was working hard. What can we do about carpet stains? It was a non-smoking room, but when I entered, I smelled something. But after that, it didn't bother me. It's a bit cumbersome to have to leave your keys at the front desk when you go out because they're not cards, but it's acceptable for the price. I also want to stay there when I go to Kobe.

It's about a 5-minute walk from the station. I stayed there for 2 nights as a solo traveller. A simple breakfast of bread, coffee or tea, orange juice and boiled eggs is included. The dining staff was different on both days, but when they found out I was a traveller, they brought me pamphlets and told me about Kobe's history, and were very kind. There were a lot of solo travellers, so I was able to relax without being bothered by noise or voices.

The staff is very nice, but does not speak much English. The rooms is small, very old, no wardrobe. There is mould on the bathroom curtain. The air-conditioning blows into your bed, no way to open window. I'm also used to much wider choice at breakfast. There is free water machine in the room on 9th floor. The wifi is stable, with password (fortunately no facebook/gmail logging), but my colleague complained about the speed.
