Hotel Route Inn Shimodate

Nice hotel, close to train station, 5-7 minutes walk. Easy to find, because you can see it from the train. Room seems a little dated, could use some renovation, but everything is clean; room small but large enough with everything you need; good bed with high quality nice bedding sheets. Bathroom is tiny and a little dated but clean. Surprisingly good breakfast buffet with lots of choices; frinedly staff. I paid comparatively little for a three nights' stay; price/value ratio seems very very good.

I spent two nights at Okuoi Sightseeing. The internet claims it is in front of the station, but it is not so close to Gilisafe. You won't say you can't find it because the root-in sign letters stand out. Please be aware that the street in front of the hotel entrance is a parking lot and a road, and if you are wandering around near the entrance, you will be in danger.
