Itsuura Kanko Hotel Daikanso

The first night of the Ibaraki trip is here, close to Fukushima Prefecture. I checked in and felt a little down because it was a room on the second floor of the South Wing. However, when I entered the room, I could go outside and have a good view (I'm not sure because the sun is setting, but I'm hoping for tomorrow morning) and it was soon time for dinner. I wasn't very hungry, but I almost ate. The public baths are gender-swapped at night and in the morning. The one who comes in at night (far from reception) is probably better. Both have one indoor bath and two outdoor baths. Both are kept clean. Let me be a little selfish: there are a lot of lights in the open-air bath, so I think it would be quaint if the starry sky was cut in half and the sound of the source flowing elsewhere, but I think it would be better not to have a pretty good sound of waves here. It was a good hot water and a good hot spring. Thank you very much.

That location, which I can't think of when I'm driving in Kitaibaraki, suddenly appears as I head to the Rokkakudo, where I'm related. I was trembling at the cliffs along the shoreline, the pine forests that withstood the tsunami, the carved cliffs, the calm coastline that sealed its horror on a clear day, and the miracles that allowed me to encounter the scenery loved by ancient celebrities. Also, the December breeze felt comfortable, because the sunrise facing me from the roof of the hotel I stayed at was because I stayed at this inn. I think this is a superb view of the original Japanese landscape.

Itsuura (Izura coast) is the historical place with excellent ocean view, where Japanese style painters Tenshin Okakura, Taikan Yokoyama, Shunso Hishida, Kanzan Shimomura, and Buzan Kimura gathered and established "Nihon Bijutsuin (Japan Visual Arts Academy)". This hotel is located at the incredibly beautiful coastal area with magnificent landscapes. Breakfast and dinner are served with fresh sea foods with local cuisine. Open air hot spring provide you the moments with highly sophisticated meditation. Feel the spirits of great Japanese style painters, Taikan Yokoyama and his colleagues.
