I checked in before 3 o'clock, but when I requested a mountain-side room, they were unable to accommodate me as they were fully booked today. I actually booked a single room, but I got a twin room. I think he would have been happy if I had someone else to replace him. When dropping off luggage, I have to scan the QR code, which is a hassle. I've done it 5 times, but I've never been able to do it in one go. I have to enter my name and phone number each time. I left my luggage at 12 o'clock, but I thought that I could avoid the 3 o'clock traffic jam by filling out the support discount documents at that time, but I was told that was impossible. APA hotels sometimes have nice front desk staff with a smile, If I do something unexpected, won't they get angry? I spend about half of the year staying at hotels, but this was the first time I had to ask for documents before checking in, and I was surprised.

I had business in Fukui City and couldn't find a hotel near the city, so I stayed at APA Hotel Kaga Daishoji Ekimae. I went by car, but arrived at the hotel just after 8pm, which meant a late check-in time, but when I was unsure where to park my car in front of the entrance, a staff member came over and showed me the parking lot. They were very kind and helpful. There was a large public bath, which I used comfortably, but unfortunately when I wanted to use the morning bath, it was closed in the morning. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of menu items and was very good. There were no problems with the room and I was able to relax.

Pretty brutal by Japan standards. I don't mind a small room but this one was pretty gross. The wallpaper was peeling off in several places and the carpet and chair were so stained you really wanted to avoid touching them. I know it was Golden Week and rooms were scarce, but they charged me 15,000 yen for this mess. If you're desperate and the price is 5000 yen a night, then maybe. It is also possible that other rooms are in better shape than the one I got, but I can only comment on the room I was given. Would not go back.
