The lobby area is cute and chill with ocean views and happy hour with a variety of beverages. As well, the hotel offers a wide array of free beverages and ice cream in the afternoon/evening. Unfortunately, the lobby and the rooms are two different worlds. The hallways and rooms are a bit run down with peeling wallpaper, scraped furniture, etc. One of our rooms had a door that doesn't open all the way due to a section of the wall sticking out and the TV on the wall protruded quite a bit, making the corners a hazard for anyone walking past as there was only a foot of space between the wall and the beds. In that room you'd have to turn sideways to cross the room. The space was so small that with the door not opening all the way, we had to lift our suitcase over the bed to get it into the room. Our other room was a little bigger, but even so there wasn't room to open our suitcases without having to walk around them. The water pressure in the shower is amazing, but anyone that's taller/wider may have trouble moving around in the shower stall due to its small size that's made even more compact with a seat sticking out of the wall. The view looking out (ocean/Angel Road sandbar) was nice. The included dinner (Japanese) was good and there was a wide selection at the dessert buffet.
