The hotel is conveniently located, just one short block from Hyogo-machi Shotengai shopping arcade, and the bus from Takamatsu Airport stops right across the street. Although the lobby and the room seem a bit outdated, the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable with restaurant recommendations and other local info. With that said, I have one complaint (and concern for anyone considering staying there) about this hotel: on the key card, not only their hotel name and address but also THE ROOM NUMBER is printed. It's a good thing I never dropped it during my outings, especially as their elevator does not require a key card to access upper floors, thus, any outsider who gets hold of your key card can easily reach your room.

I was very pleasantly surprised at the spacious and comfortable twin room that we had at the Rihga Zest Hotel in Takamatsu. It was a little tired but for the price this hotel was an absolute bargain. We had no problems with noise that other people have reported and we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. It's a ten minute walk to the station but it's flat and quite direct.

This was my first time staying here on a business trip. The building and facilities have a slightly retro feel, but they were clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was homemade and had a decent selection of items, which was nice. Parking is mainly multi-storey, so the downside is that there are few surface parking spaces, and you have to park in a municipal parking lot that's quite far away.
