Kirishima Royal Hotel

We had a lovely stay at The Pulse Kirishima. The room was beautiful, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. They even helped us switch to a mountain-view room after we had already checked in, which we really appreciated. There were a couple of minor downsides: the sofa bed was quite firm and not the most comfortable for sleeping, and the curtains weren’t fully blackout, so the room got bright quite early in the morning. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide spread and great variety. The onsen was also a plus, a good size and never felt too crowded, even over a holiday weekend. Overall, a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Freshly renovated hotel in 2025. I stayed with my elementary school daughter. The best part was the dinner breakfast buffet. It was the best lineup ever. There's almost no so-called ready-to-eat menu, and there's plenty to refill, including sashimi, straw-grilled bonito, and Kagoshima beef and pork chicken steak, pork cutlet and charcoal-grilled live kitchen. It's good to have facilities where people of all ages can play. Karaoke, soccer board games, basketball court, large kids space, etc. The Kirishima Mountain view from the infinity pool was amazing.
