A beautiful intimate hotel surrounded by the hills of Hakone. The views are spectacular from your room , each with its own private Onsen on the balcony . Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and you are encouraged to feel free to wear traditional Japenese clothes around the hotel provided for you in your room . A perfect setting for exploring the sites around Hakone and easy to get to transport on the Hakone Cable Car with a stop very close by. They also have a free shuttle to take you direct to the Ropeway if preferred and will also arrange to pick up or drop off at the Hakone Open air museum. There is also an opportunity to try a public onsen together with cold bath and sauna all beautifully appointed . Kaiseki meal is served to your room and they adapted for specific dietary requirements and breakfast also served in room and all beautifully presented A truly memorable stay !

We just left Gen Hakone Gora, and we must share our great joy at having been able to stay at this hotel. Everything was there, well-being, cleanliness, kindness and generosity... thank you for welcoming us in this way. This hotel is worth its price.
