Hotel two minutes from Hakone station, from the outside it doesn't give a wow effect, but we had a great time. Our room was very large, and it overlooked the river. The staff was always attentive and kind, especially those on our floor. The three onsen are each more beautiful than the last and are always available. Dinner and breakfast are served in the room and, in our opinion, were excellent. I read some comments labeling the breakfast as scandalous because there was fish and broth... it is a typical Japanese breakfast, obviously you shouldn't expect a croissant and cappuccino...

This accommodation disappointed me; the beds smelled musty, and the hotel is rather unkempt otherwise. Of course, it is unusual to sleep on a futon, but I expect clean-smelling bedding. The woman who served the food could not speak any English, but she was very friendly. I would not stay here again.

I stayed at Hakone Suimeiso for the first time. Surrounded by quiet nature, the open-air baths and food are superb. For a wonderful travel memory that heals from the heart. I was concerned about the slightly larger number of fruit flies, but I wonder if it can't be helped area-wise. Recommended for company and family trips.
