Shiki no Yuzashiki Musashino-Bekkan

Musashino Bekkan was a wonderful short stay for our family of four. From check-in to check-out, we loved the traditional Japanese experience and felt it was the perfect introduction to Japanese culture for our children, aged 7 and 3. The hotel itself was beautiful and authentic, with several onsen options available. Our room was spacious and we especially enjoyed the traditional setup, where the dining area was transformed into our sleeping space each evening. The in-room onsen on the balcony was a highlight of our stay. Surrounded by peaceful forest views, it was incredibly quiet and relaxing, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the experience. We had both breakfast and dinner included, which were excellent. The set-menu meals featured a variety of courses that were both delicious and filling. We also appreciated how accommodating the staff were with our children’s dietary needs. The hotel provided a complimentary shuttle service for pick-up and drop-off, including transport when we went out during the day, which made everything very convenient. Most importantly, the staff were all warm, friendly, and attentive, always greeting us with a smile and creating a welcoming atmosphere throughout our stay. The only small suggestion would be to refresh some of the rooms with a touch of new paint, as parts of the property felt slightly dated. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend Musashino Bekkan to families looking for a traditional Japanese ryokan stay.

Had a great stay at Musashino Bekkan. The staff were warm, gracious, and helpful. Our room attendant, Auyu, who served us all of our in-room meals, was so lovely and was a highlight of our stay. The front desk was always available to answer any questions and provide any needed information. They offer rides to and from the local train stations, which was a real bonus. The room was a little rough around the edges, but otherwise offered a refined and authentic ryokan experience. The private baths were very nice and we enjoyed them daily. The food for each meal was absolutely delicious and so beautifully presented. Would highly recommend and would definitely come and stay again.

If you hide the Welcoming a little stiff, you're in heaven. The room overlooks the mountain and you can bathe alone in the world. The meal in the room is absolutely fine.
