There are two open-air baths that can be used for day-trips, and there are several other bathrooms for overnight guests that are fun to choose from. The grilled wild female fish with salt was excellent. It's expensive, but you get a decent experience.

Front desk staff was not as friendly when we checked-in and enquired; we didn't feel welcomed. Other staffs were great. Prefer the private onsens. For the outdoor public onsen: was not opened until 7pm on our check-in date, spider webs, no shower, small and simple changing area. Room was nice.

Love this place and kurokawa onsen area. There’re 2 outdoors onsen separate for male and female, 2 public indoor for male and female and 6 private onsen. The whole building are lovely and clean. Service is amazing. Food is impressive. There is a beautiful river in the middle of 2 buildings, amazing scenery.
