The room is small and not very clean and I was concerned about the smell, and the sound of the air conditioning was also concerned loudly. The women's public bath is small enough to accommodate only about three people, and there is no sauna. At happy hour, there's only alcohol, no soft drinks, very little variety. It's hard to get in from the airport. Breakfast is normal and doesn't feel Kumamoto-like. I stayed at a business hotel in the neighborhood, and Coco is a low-level place.

This is located 15mins walk away from the Hito Ozu station and if one's carrying a luggage, it's better to avoid when you're not driving. The path to the hotel isn't ideal for dragging your luggage. Other than that, it's a normal business hotel with a rooftop gender separated bath. Remember to bring your own towel from the room if you're heading to the bath. Wifi is good, and offers some basic Japanese channels on tv, mainly news. Nearby amenities are some restaurants, kfc and Lawson is around 10mins out.

Lovely and modern hotel with a great, although quite small, onsen which has excellent views both day and night. In a good location for sightseeing, by car, around the Aso or Outer Kumamoto areas and there are also plenty of nearby restaurants too.
