I recently stayed at Hotel Hokke Club Kyoto in April 2026 and it was a great experience. The hotel could not be more conveniently located. The hotel is directly across the street from Kyoto station and once you exit the hotel you can walk down the stairs and you are in Porta dining, a huge food and shopping area that is connected to Kyoto station. As for the hotel itself it is not too big and has everything you need. I was on the 10th floor and the elevator only took a few seconds every time. I was traveling solo so I only needed a single room, but that room was perfect. The bed was comfortable and the room was made up every day. The rates were super reasonable for being in that location by the train station. Would definitely stay here again next time I come to Kyoto.

This hotel was in a great location! It was great being right near the train station. The rooms are a bit small, but it does the trick!

Access is very good just across the street from the central exit of Kyoto Station. If you go through the underground shopping mall, you can almost avoid getting wet in the rain, but it is a staircase, so if you have large luggage, the ground level is recommended. It was very convenient as it contained an izakaya and a shop of Ogawa Coffee on the first floor of the hotel and guests could enjoy discounts. The room is nice because it feels clean and calm, but it may be a little inconvenient if you want to work well because it is a small table The unit bus is not barrier-free because it is a stepped type and slightly expensive.
