This is an old & dated Japanese style ryokan. We booked it as our children were curious to sleep on the futon. The floor was hard and we couldn’t sleep well during our stay. The best part of this hotel is the traditional Japanese breakfast, beautifully presented, treat for the eyes to appreciate the one who prepared it & a delight for the palettes to appreciate it. Another factor is the Ofuro (hot water bath that was opened till midnight. How about the room ? Well, there could have been some cupboard Shelves to it down ourselves.,

Ryokan is 10 min walking distance from main station. We were welcomed by very friendly staff with traditional tea and snacks. Had traditional dinner and breakfast which was amazing! While eating our futons were fixed. the public bath was very clean and spacious. Definitely will come back there. The only thing that would change is the wi-fi. It's available only in the lobby.

This was our first traditional ryokan we had stayed in for our holiday. The staff spoke enough English for us to be able to leave our bags earlier in the day. A nice surprise was the traditional tea ceremony that was performed when we arrived. The lady conducting it seemed to have no English at all but we managed to understand each other and it was a lovely touch to our stay. The sleeping arrangements are traditional tatami mats and we all slept very well, the only negative was the accommodation was covered in scaffolding so we couldn't enjoy the view over the temple.
