A very lovely hotel, very sweet and helpful English-speaking staff, very close to Kyoto train station (10-minute walk) and bus stops, the only drawback is the mediocre breakfast, like all of Japan. The rooms have old furniture but they are charming and ryokan-style, with floor mattresses. The price-performance ratio is very good, I recommend it. Think of it as 5 stars in terms of price and performance. You're not going to Four Seasons, after all :)

From the first moment we booked our trip to Japan, we wanted to experience the experience of staying in a traditional ryokan. Unlike most of its kind in Kyoto, this particular small ryokan offers this experience at normal prices. The rooms are very spacious, natural beds, tables and chairs in the traditional sense do not exist. Every night you lay your bed, while you can drink your tea on the floor. There is a traditional uniform that you can wear both in the room and in the common areas. Moreover, the staff was very friendly and helpful, with excellent knowledge of English. Finally, it has shared spaces such as a spa, a waiting and relaxing room for food or coffee and a special spot for photography. I strongly recommend it!

I stayed at this Ryokan whilst visiting Kyoto and found it to be very well located for exploring all that was offer. The room was well appointed and comfortable with the shared bathroom immaculately clean. The staff were also delightful and extremely accommodating. I therefore highly recommend this Inn as place to stay for those visiting Kyoto for the first time.
