APA Hotel Sendai-Kotodai-Koen

I requested Yamato's courier service. I asked for the hotel's stamp on the slip, but they didn't understand, and explained that it would be a receipt even without a stamp, and that Yamato Transport would issue it. Of course, I knew that when I asked. In this case, the hotel's stamp is required for paperwork at work so that the flow of money can be understood. I paid Yamato Transport in the end, but I paid the hotel. Officially, I would ask Yamato Transport to issue a Yamato Transport receipt, but it's not necessary to do that every time. I've used various hotels in the past, and they usually stamp the slip. Even convenience stores stamp the convenience store's stamp. This exchange left me with a negative impression. It's unfortunate.

My husband and I stayed here because it was close to the hospital and the bus stop. First time staying here on 2023/08/31. The lobby smelled of wood, it was nice. South-facing room on the 7th floor. From the window, you can see tall apartment buildings. I was impressed to have come from the countryside. I left my luggage and went to see Jozenji Street and other places. It was easy to connect to the free WiFi. After 10pm, I went shopping at a convenience store (it was very close). I was able to relax while watching the free movie Minions. I wanted to smoke, so the smell of cigarettes was unavoidable (it wasn't a strong smell). All the amenities were available, and the bed, room, and bathroom were clean. Checking out was as easy as putting the card in the box prepared for us, and we headed to the hospital. It was a 12-minute walk to the front entrance of the hospital. I was very satisfied with my stay. Rating 5. Second time staying here on 2023/09/11. North-facing room on the 6th floor. From the window, all I could see was the wall of the building next door. I was shocked. The smell of cigarettes was stronger than in the previous room. (My wife, who is a non-smoker, grimaced, but it wasn't a strong smell.) There was tape on the button that controlled the opening and closing of the window. Is it broken? Is it dangerous? One of the lights on the right and left of the bed was not making good contact and went on and off. The equipment, WiFi, TV, bath, etc. were the same as last time and there were no problems. It was a bit of a disappointing stay. Rating 3. I've booked a smoking room again for the first week of next month. I wonder how the room will be this time. I'm looking forward to it. Oh yeah, the sounds of insects were echoing through the city of Sendai. Was it real?? A loudspeaker?? What was it? It was strange.

This hotel is located in Sendai city center. There is a rental parking lot nearby. It's easy to walk to shopping and dining area of Sendai. The room is Japanese standard size with private bathroom. It's clean and comfortable. Hotel staff are nice and helpful.
