Unzen Miyazaki Ryokan

I went to Unzen to see Miyamakirishima. Nitta Pass was great, but it was a little late, the garden and the pond garden were finished. I'll come a little earlier next time (laughs). Last time I stayed at Kyushu Hotel. The view from the room and the restaurant to Unzen Hell was great, but there was no public bath and the bath in the room was of course good, but this time I came here to soak in the public bath. The garden of the long-established inn was wonderful and I was able to look at it all the time after the bath, the renovated room was comfortable and the food was delicious. As someone who likes white rice, it's not takikomi-gohan (there's a lot of shimen rice these days) and "kamado-taki-gohan" was the best. Above all, the turbid water is good, I believed the kind warning at the entrance of the water that "there are three steps" :) and went into the water from the railing, because I can't see my feet. It's good, the water was really good, and the smell of the sulphurous was good (not too strong). The back of the garden. Back. There was also a walk to Unzen Hell (although it was outside the Ryokan, which I mentioned earlier), so it was nice to take a walk in the nice seasonal breeze. We all have our own tastes, but I prefer this inn. The only thing I hope for now is that the number of people who can serve customers "on a resourceful and natural basis" will increase from staff serving customers "according to the manual." The garden is very beautiful from the lobby and rooms. After all, Unzen has hot water! After entering, hair and skin become smooth. The food was delicious and I was satisfied with the variety of breakfast. And the rice is delicious! Unfortunately, however, the variety of sake is small. There is only sake from Nagasaki. If it was hot, there were more than sixty states, but cold sake was not good. I would love to see more than sixty states of junmai sake and junmai ginjo. It was an inn I wanted to stay in again.

We had a very nice experience here. Service was considerate and personal, the room was clean and comfortable and the meal was very solid. The set up is a little bit like a cross between a hotel and a ryokan. You have complete privacy in your room and you eat in their dining room, but the meals are fixed. It was unfortunately raining when we were there, but the grounds are stunning too. The overall decor of the hotel is more contemporary than traditional. One thing to know is that in Japanese inns, meal times are set with a couple options in a narrow window. Because we were running late, we were scheduled to arrive around 7pm which is the last starting time they are able to accommodate normally. However, when we called, they were very understanding, offering a start time as last as 7:30pm and wishing us safe travels.
