Hotel Futaba

review hotel futaba -we were able to book a half board package from hotel website which was money for value -One of the strengths is the onsen. 4 onsens situated on 6/f and 7/f. The 2 at 7/f each included one indoor nd one outdoor onsen with views of the town. At 6/f, the 2 onsens each have one indoor onsen and a few outdoor onsen pools. -Another strength is the food and dinning. Each room is allocated with a private dinning room serviced by individual staff, serving full course dinner with very good quality of food. - wide variety of choices for breakfast, traditional japanese food, western food, on site cooking of eggs, tempura, sweeties etc - After checking out, customer can still go to the onsen for free before 3pm (300 yen if towel needed) - We stayed at the most basic room. The size is relatively large, but for us it is cold as the air con is not powerful enough during winter (we are from warmer places) -not sure if due to our low range room, there is no bed making service - the hotel charged a storage fee of 500 yen per suitcase after checking out (in my case they did not charge hand carry bags) - there is literally no ski room, as ski equipments are simply placed at the rack/wall in the ski rental room. - the ski rental looks well kept apparently (mainly head brand), not too used as in many ski rental places in japan

The rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. There is an in-room safe. The large public bath has a wide variety of options, which was nice. The breakfast buffet allows you to eat as much as you like of whatever you like. The facility is larger than I expected, and depending on the floor and room you stay on, you may have to walk quite a bit to get to the large public bath. It may be quite difficult for people with weak legs. The baths in the large public baths were extremely hot, and some were not even accessible. The wifi worked fine, but was too slow for reading online manga. I think it was worth the price.

Seeing that it’s approaching the snow season soon, so here it comes a very belated review! Stayed here with my family at the start of the year, and we had a fabulous time here! The hotel is very close to the Echigo Yuzawa Station, but shuttle bus is still available (remember to notify them about your arrival time). There was a staff who was really good at English and has helped us a lot, love that we could choose our own yukata! Our room was really spacious and the view was just AMAZING. Our plan came with breakfast (buffet) and traditional Japanese dinner, and they were perfect! Do remember to check out their onsens as there are a lot of options, you may need a whole day just to try out all of them. They also provide ski/ snowboarding rentals as well, but we booked ours at somewhere else and they still let us to put our gears overnight so that we can go straight to the ski resort directly the next morning. Been wanting to visit Hotel Futaba again this year, but seems it has gotten quite full already, so better plan your trip ahead! とても嬉しかったね~ ありがとう！
