Kannawa Onsen Oniyama Hotel

It is in a good location for visiting the hells. At first glance, the building looks old, but the facilities and rooms are very clean and the animations are well-equipped. I was there by car, but they came to pick me up quickly, and the staff were very friendly wherever I went, including the front desk, baths, and restaurants, so I got the impression that it was a good inn with everything taken care of. There are two open-air baths, one on the rooftop and one inside the building, and because they are spread out, I think I was able to enjoy them at my own pace without it being crowded. The food was also delicious, and even better in person than in the photos on the official website. I think I stayed on a tour, so I paid a low price, but I was very satisfied with the good hot springs and the style and attentive service that only a long-established inn can offer. It was a wonderful inn that I would like to use again.

This hotel has two special outdoor hotbaths, "Rotembro". One is really big one with natural hot water coming out @90°C and cooled to @40°C. Another one is at rooftop with the view of mountains. This one has several hot tubs including some made from stone. Facilities are good but if you want to eat here, your need to order beforehand.

The location of this hot spring hotel is very convenient to every hot spots in Beppu. They have two hot springs inside the hotel, one is at the roof and the other one at the basement. Which are both as good and lovely, I prefer to stay at the roof top one at sunset hrs and go to the basement during night. The Japanese style room and the food is fairly good. One remainder for staying in Japanese style room is that you don't have to set up the bed by yourself, they would do it during your dinner time. This hotel is recommended.
