Homey Inn Enya

This was a lovely stay in Yufuin. If you like to experience a typical home stay, this is a good choice. The whole place was operated by one person, Shinya San, so be prepared to help in cooking meals, which I think is the most unforgettable experience in this trip. There were four secondary school students helping on the first day of our stay. On the second day, we helped in cooking. The food was delicious and more than enough! This place was decorated with paintings and Shinya San's collections. The rooms and beds are comfortable. We had to share bathroom and shower, which was expected in home stay. It took about 15-20 minutes to walk down to the JR station and it was scenic with the fall foliage. In addition, don't miss to visit the Jinlin Lake in the early morning. We arrived there at 8am, it was just like a fairyland!

One man show Shinya San, do everything, pick us up from station, cooking, sharing and entertaining. He is building onsen room, so the end of the year should be ready. Rooms are ok. Even quite tried. House is quite messy at the mo but everything fine for us.

Stayed here in October 2013. An Amazing place. Seriously wow. The host Shinya makes sure that we are comfortable. He EVEN came to pick up up at the railway station in his small cute red jeep. He is a bubbly character and VERY friendly. He felt like more like a relative rather than a hotel host. The next day he even took us around the city in this jeep and of course no extra cost was demanded or accepted. We reached in the night and since we were hungry, he made us Nagasaki Noodles, though we had not paid only for the breakfast the next day. He really took care of us and the one thing I miss about Yufuin is his warmth and his personality with broken english jokes.Love you Shinya. Hope to see you again. This is a MUST SLEEP place if you are EVER in Yufuin. I bet my name on it, and you will not regret the choice. Trust ME!! If I could give 10 starts, I would because Five stars doesnt do justice to his cozy little place.
