Yufuin Hanayoshi Onsen resort stay few days in last week: we do have a great time while staying in your hotel; facility is great; landscape is lovely and your crews are very kind; especially a young lady name Shimizu who served our dinner couple times She is very kind; adorable; understanding and hardworking; in here, I would like to make a special praise to her; since I am an active member in trip advisor; I will post the comment to trip advisor as well well done; thanks!

We had a very pleasant 3 days 2 nights stay at this Ryokan. Our room is clean, spacious, and comes with an outdoor onsen. Booked kaiseki dinner and breakfast. All the staff are very polite, friendly and helpful. Although some may not be good in speaking English but we managed alright. They offer shuttle bus transfer from Yufuin station. Also, complimentary coffee and juices at the lobby. Overall, it was an excellent experience during our short stay, and we highly recommend.

Visited on a family trip. The attitude of the receptionist who guided me to my room in the lobby was so annoying that my first impression was not good, but this first impression lasted until the end. The employees in the lobby were not friendly at all and sometimes looked down on them. At first, we were confused and cautious because we had done something wrong, but later we got angry at these facial expressions. (I don't know if they were Japanese or Chinese, but it was different from the way people treat others.) The bathroom I was expecting was not very good. The water had a bit of a foul smell, and there were some broken faucets and other facilities, so I thought the public bathhouse in my neighborhood would be better... Even when we left the room, it was quiet without anyone to see us off. They put us in the car and dropped us off in front of the train station, so we ended up wondering what this was...? It is a rather expensive ryokan, but it was much worse than the famous hot spring hotel in Beppu that was crowded with people who stayed before this ryokan. I posted a review on Hotels*com at the time, but my review was cut out because there was some kind of agreement between the ryokan and the hotel site. It was a very well-rounded experience traveling to Japanese hot springs, and I thought that Korean hot springs were much better.
