Hotel Hana to Midori no Mizuho

Beautifully renovated. Comfortable bed, Oh, sukiyaki portion too small for two at 5000 yen. Can't believe we got 200 grams of ishigakigyu. Could have given us more cheap veggies too. Went to bed hungry. Pretended poor appetite to give my share to hubby who's definitely not a big eater.

Mizuho is located about 10-15mins away from Ishigaki airport. When you arrive, you will be greeted by the abundance of blooms located at the entryway to the hotel. Not the most modern of hotel designs, but the staff are very friendly and may provide you with some travel/sightseeing tips if you ask. I stayed in a twin room with my friend. The room was comfortable and very clean, with enough space for 2 cabin luggages. The twin room had a single bed and a super-single bed. The bathroom is also very spacious, with a full-length bathtub with toiletries available. Car rental is also available from Mizuho at a very affordable price (compared to other car rental companies around the island), but make sure you make bookings in advance, especially when it's peak holiday period. No wi-fi, and TV channels are mainly Japanese programs. Hotel serves simple breakfast like rice and spam, and toasts. We traveled to and from our hotel mainly by taxis, as the hotel sells taxi vouchers at 500yen each with 600yen value.
