The walls are so thin that you can hear snoring from the next room. The cloth was also dirty, and the separate electrical outlet was also broken. The door is poorly constructed and doesn't hold well, so it might be quite difficult for a woman to do it. Since the apartment was originally turned into a hotel, I thought it would be properly soundproofed, but it was the exact opposite.

This place isn't your typical hotel. It seems like it used to be an apartment complex. There is a front desk and elevator but when you get to the floor it's pretty narrow and set up like an apartment. Some of the rooms have a washer/dryer combo unit in the room. All the functions are in Japanese so you may need some assistance if you can't read kanji. This helps since the major attraction on Ishigaki is swimming. There is a stove top in the room as well, but we never used it. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to the center of town where there are a lot of places to eat at. This hotel is also about a 7-8 minute walk to the bus terminal. The terminal has buses that go to the airport on a regular basis and about the same distance to the ferry port. The port has ferry's going to all the different islands in the area. The A/C unit didn't really cool the room too well, but then again we weren't in the room most of the day. Parking at this hotel is very limited and narrow. You need to register with the front desk.
