Hotel Yugaf Inn Okinawa

This beachfront hotel in Nago is probably the best you can get outside of a luxury resort! Despite its semi-remote area given Nago's layout, a Lawson as well as one of the best restaurants in town are of walking distance as well as the gorgeous beach. The rooms are also nice, offering nice views and a relaxing tropical vibe that only Okinawa can pull off so well in East Asia!

In February, it seems that you can't make a reservation because of the professional baseball camp, but it is a good hotel for cost at other times. The building is old but renovated and each room is beautiful. I was taken to the executive twin on the ninth floor of Field Park Tower. The rooms were large, with separate bath and toilet, and comfortable rooms with panoramic views of the baseball field and ocean from the veranda. There is a convenience store within walking distance. I think the location is good, even downtown Nago is about 1-2 meters by taxi. Even without a key, you can enter and exit the building twice for 24 hours. It is not recommended for couples, but it is good for travelling with family or friends.

Although it was Golden Week, I think I was able to stay at a relatively reasonable price. This time I stayed in a four-person room in the main building. The room was filled with sofa beds and extra beds, but there were clothes lockers and plenty of hangers, so it was comfortable to use. The breakfast is on the second floor of the new building, so it's a little far away, but I was lucky that I didn't have to wait long for the elevator during my two nights, so I was able to move around easily. The breakfast is worth trying, as they offer vegetable shabu-shabu and several Okinawan dishes on a daily basis. Perhaps because I went relatively early, it was empty. I was prepared for it to be very crowded, but... It's close to the center of Nago City, so it's convenient as a base for sightseeing from the central to northern parts of the country, including the Churaumi Aquarium. The price is also reasonable, so if you want to prioritize leisure experiences in Okinawa, it might be a good choice. There is a second parking lot a little away from the hotel grounds. If you don't know in advance, you'll panic when parking lots 1 and 3 are full. (When I looked in the morning, the map was posted in several places in parking lots 1 and 3.) Also, on the way to this second parking lot, there was an Okinawan-style restaurant called "Yukino" that seemed to be quite popular. I didn't go this time, but I was curious.
