W-O-W!!! I had no idea what an absolutely incredible experience was in store for us at Biwako Hanakaido. We spent one night in the private onsen suite, with an incredible view of Lake Biwa. The room was stunning, spacious and unlike any stay I've had before. Total luxurious comfort. Fantastic staff and service. The dinner and breakfast were delicious, abundant and unlike anything we've ever had before as Canadian-Italians. The atmosphere and ambiance are beautiful and calm. Beautiful yukata are provided and worn to the meals/ common areas. We had both options of western style beds as well as Japanese style beds in our room, as well as an amazing massage chair by our window. It's about 1 hour from Kyoto by train and the hotel offers a shuttle service. I felt like royalty here and would go back if the opportunity arises. It was also a good overnight break from the touring and walking in the crazy heat.

Spent 1 night, group of 5. We all agreed that experience was fantastic. They took care of even the finest details, the check-in experience is that of a five star hotel (done by Alena, super professional, meticulous and correct). The onsen experience was super nice, we did it in the afternoon before dinner, and then the following day before breakfast. Both the women and men of the group agreed that it was a very relaxing moment. One can intimidated by the rules or protocols, but the hotel does a very good job at explaining them. We had as well hired with our hotel rate dinner and breakfast, both of them were amazing affairs, highly recommended. The van service to pick us up from the train station and to take us back after checkout was faultless, super efficient.

As for dinner, I asked her to wash other fruits because some of them are inedible and I was concerned about the smell. The content is not accepted because I have been booked for it. Serve with salt when your companion eats it. It's hard to understand filling out a reservation. Rice bowls and cups smell raw. Like washing your hands. The bed is stiff. The next day, my body hurt. Start the handover right in front of the customer at the souvenir shop. There were scoldings. It was unpleasant. There is only tea (sencha) in the room. The refrigerator doesn't work. Can't you have coffee at dinner? When I ask, they tell me to go to the coffee room.
