Guesthouse AN

Shuji was our host of our stay at Guesthouse An. He gave us detailed explanations of the sights to see, how to get there, and how to use the traditional Japanese tatami mat house. He and his wife also provides an exquisite breakfast. We were the only group staying for breakfast so we got a chance to talk to Shuji 1-on-1 about our travels, music, and baseball. We highly recommend Guesthouse An for an authentic, quaint stay in the Kyoto region of Japan. - Kristopher from Texas, U.S.A.

We Were glad to stay at this guesthouse - friendly and Nice people. We felt very welcome. We hope We Can visit this guesthouse again, when we come near Kyoto another time. The breakfast was very fine.

Shuji was a very warm host providing us a lot of care and recommendations during our stay. Breakfast was definitely one of the highlights, especially the coffee and the Cheese Toasts. The location is among a very local and quiet neighborhood, which provide you the peace you need for a vacation. It is close to the train station, therefore, easy to commute to all tourist spots around the area. It is also very close to the lake with a great jogging route to relax. Facilities are very clean and well equipped/furnished.
