I stayed in a semi-double room for one person in the main building. The room was a single room in a Showa-era business hotel. The unit bath was extremely small and less comfortable than the recent economy business hotel chains. The windows were small and it was dark even during the day. I stayed here during the marathon event period, and the price was about twice as much as usual. It's unavoidable, but I think I'll stay at a different hotel next time. There are automatic check-in machines, which is convenient when it's crowded, but there is no explanation of the building, so I didn't even have a chance to find out that there was a large public bath. There is only one elevator in the main building, so there is a waiting time. Well, I guess that's about what you'd expect on a cheap day.

I stayed in the capsule part of the hotel. It was nice and clean. Refurbished not long ago. The capsules are rather big, very comfortable. There's an alarm clock, safe, and individual dimmable light. The staff was helpful too. I had a good deal on the nights.

Conveniently located just across the street from Matsue Station! We stayed in the female only capsule room. The amenities provided were great. You can find hairdryers, soaps, shampoos, two variations of facial products in the bathroom and vanity area. Lockers are provided per capsule bed, and luggage can be stored and locked in a corner of the locker room. Standard, free-sized night wear are provided too! Would definitely recommend this to any female travelling solo of with their friends :)
