Toyoko Inn Hamamatsu-eki Kita-guchi

I stayed here for one week in March 2024. My poor company at the time booked this hotel for me. As a result of this, at check-in I was given a smoking room. I requested a non-smoking room but was told by the reception staff that there wasn’t any available. I decided to put up with it, and headed on up. However, the absolute stench of the smoke-embedded room was too overwhelming. I also suffer from a bad lung, and so came to my senses and headed right back down to reception. I requested – or maybe somewhat demanded – again that my room be changed, citing my history of respiratory problems. Somehow, as if by magic, a non-smoking room appeared. This early hiccup is my only complaint about the hotel. For the rest of my stay, everything was fantastic. My room was clean and had everything I needed, the staff were very attentive and helpful, and the self-serve breakfast was brilliant. The location is great; a ten-minute walk from Hamamatsu JR Station, with lots of bars and places to eat only a short walk away too. I would like to return here one day and enjoy the hotel and the city as a solo traveller, without the unnecessary pain of having to work for the incompetent company I was employed by at that time. Also, there is a fantastic little coffee-stand place right outside the hotel, called Bon Coffee. The girls who worked there were absoultely brilliant, and I would definitely recommend going. This hotel is near Hamamatsu station, about 5min walk. The roon style is the same as those of other Toyoko inn hotels. That is confortable. Breakfast is included and I enjoyed Shijimi (small shell) miso-soup. The price is OK and I would like to recommend this hotel.

Toyoko Inn Hamamatsu is about a 10 minute walk from the JR Hamamatsu Station. You will have to cross the street and walk for a few minutes. There is also a subway station right in front of the hotel entrance. Many convenience stores nearby. Hotel room was adequate for a two nights stay. They will give you a beauty set (shampoo and conditioner) for ladies upon check-in. Breakfast is included and is available in the lobby. Many businessman and tourists use the hotel. Very convenient and good pricing! Would stay here again!
