A day before, I wanted to go to the pool, so my husband looked for an inn. The facilities are old, but there are few people and it was relaxing. Originally, I thought it was a beautiful hotel, but it had deteriorated.

We got a triple room and it comes with a loft which you can lay a futon. There is a huge private outdoor bath in the room with a big tub. You can adjust your own water temperature to suit your needs. The hotel is new and the room actually have a ipod/iphone dock which you could play music from. Both the TV and the beds are huge. The 2 single beds is perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids (below 6). Dinner and breakfast is buffet style. Highly recommended accomodation in Shimoda.

Let them know what time your arriving and they collect you from the station as it's too far to walk. Up a hill with ocean views this is a very nice hotel but the staff have no English so unless you speak Japanese you might struggle. A buffet dinner with plenty of choice is available and is very tasty indeed. Rooms clean and tidy with the novelty of having the hottub in a conservatory balcony with views out to see. Worth the trip.very relaxing
