We got the deluxe room which was big enough to sleep four and had wide windows facing the beautiful Oboke gorge. The hotel was quite recently renovated so everything felt new and clean. Service was excellent and there was staff who spoke English. Not only did they print the dinner menu in English, but they also provided a description of local ingredients in English, e.g. where the eggs in the chawanmushi came from and how the chef prepared them. It is these little things that make a hotel stand out. The temperature of the hot springs was very comfortable and although there was no direct view down to the gorge from the tub, the sound of the flowing river was very soothing.

Hotel is located within 30mins of easy drive from Miyoshi City. The building of the hotel may look old from the outside, it is totally different inside. The check-in and lobby area while traditional looks new and clean. The room we had for our family of 3 was spacious with two beds and a large sofa which was converted to a bed in the evening. The room was clean and its features were modern. Dinners and breakfasts in the hotel were superb and we had the opportunity to try local specialties like fish which was cooked in differently for the two nights we were there. It is located in a good place to explore Iya Valley and its attractions around the area which was what we did. It felt great to able to return to the hotel after a long day in the valley without the need to drive too far. An excellent hotel with great facilities, service and food!

In the large tatami room, you can enjoy large and high-quality five-star hospitality. The heating is on when you enter the room. There are full pots of hot and ice water, a welcome letter, snacks, tea bags, and all the supplies. There are enough bathing supplies for public naked bathing. A great hot spring hotel. Because it is located in a mountainous area, you must have breakfast. It is rich and delicious. Drinks and coffee are free. It seems that you can also book dinner in advance. There are very few dining options in mountainous areas and the preparation of ingredients is not easy. It is very beautiful in Dabuwe. You can come again. Thank you to the hotel for your warm hospitality. It is recommended to charter a car for a two-day tour of the beautiful Dabuwei Canyon. Driving in mountainous areas is difficult and very dangerous. Drivers are available at Dabuwei Station for inquiries. The price list is transparent and the driver service is great. It is worth recommending.
