This was a very unique experience and I loved it all. The authentic dinner, onset and accommodations were fantastic. This was one of the best experiences during my 3 weeks in Japan. Top notch service and very friendly team. Spend a night or two. You won’t regret it and take advantage of everything it has to offer.

We chose Kazurabashi for one night during our trip on Shikoku: It's a nice Onsen Hotel with patina. You can still feel the vibe of Japan's Economic Bubble in the late 80ies, yet the place is very well maintained and rooms have been refurbished. It's rather touristy, but I don't mean this in a negative way: If you are not very familiar with Onsen, it's a very good choice, as the staff speaks English and is accustomed to foreigners. While the food was very good, I'm not especially fond of a "mandatory" meal plan for both dinner and breakfast, as it is usually way too much for me to eat - yet the hotel accommodates for food preferences. Unfortunately there is no bar - the "night lounge" was closed for a unspecified reason - so you're basically limited to buy drinks at vending machines to be consumed in the room. I recommend to either get a room with private onsen or to reserve the "family onsen" for a fee, unless you prefer the gender separated public ones as usual at such places.

Excellent service and food that showcased the region. This hotel (ryokan) has been around for more than 30 years but very well maintained . We arrived with the staff waiting at the door for us and brought us to the reception with the keys ready. There are 2 types of room which is the western style that comes with beds and Japanese style with the futons. The hotel comes with half board service which mean breakfast and dinner is included. For the 2 nights that we stayed in the options are different so it is a good choice. Local fares such as the buckwheat noodles and the grilled sweet fish and trout are also offered. Every one in the hotel is very attentive and they have a number of Chinese speaking staff with a guy , Chen, that comes from Taiwan that speak Mandarin and Cantonese as many tourists from Hong Kong. One word of caution is that within 15 mins drive you do not get any convenience store
