ART HOTEL Nippori Lungwood

We like Nippori as it is quite laidback and yet served by the Keisei Liner (direct route from Narita)!. It is only 2 stops from Ueno and this a choice location for us. We have stayed at APA and MyStay some years back so we tried out Lungwood for a 4-Nights stay. Large Lobby and check in was efficient. We were given the highest – 14 floor. The room was definitely spacious, in fact there was an additional bed for us. Not much room view as expected. Amenities are complete and there’s even daily top-up of drip-coffee. Housekeeping was good and they always leave behind 2 bottles of complimentary drink It was early-March and temp cold of 5+ deg so there’s anac blower as the main ac is not on. It can be quite stuffy if one tuned to lower rating. Just 2 pointers we like to highlight ; the room lighting appears dim even with all lighted ON, and there’s a step to the washroom so need be more careful esp using the toilet at night. The Bf buffer cost 2200 yen for stayers but we skipped this as we ate at Dotour, Excelsior & nearby. There are no less than 4 convenient stores within 10 mins and even a small Aeon store at the back, snacking & easy shopping a breeze.. Nippori is located in the immediate vicinity of the traditional shopping Yanaka Ginza Street, which we re-explored on the last morning before checking out. Really brings back find memories a decade ago when we were crazy about Yanaka. 😊

The hotel is conveniently located within 5 minutes walk to Nippori Station, where you can board the skyline to Narita, Tokyo subway and JR trains. Hotel is very cleaned, beds are comfortable and big enough (if you have young kids up to 7yrs you can even share it). Staff is polite, kind and smiling. Top of the top is the buffet breakfast: very rich and a mix of western and Japanese taste. Please try the Matcha Cappuccino, amazing.

The aircon at level 10 is not cold I.e very mild. Requested for cooling fan. The floor carpet is dusty. Should consider replace with wooden flooring. Poor sound proof. Tap noisy. The triple room is spacious. Will consider staying again but to request for a room with cooler room.
