Keio Presso Inn Otemachi

I was surprised to enter the room. The sound of the rooms around me was so out of the question that I suddenly wondered if I could sleep at night. I managed to sleep, partly because I was tired when I went to sleep after buying earplugs at the mini-stop across the street, but woke up early in the morning. It is not recommended for people who are concerned about the clatter of upstairs floors or the opening and closing of doors, so it can be caused by noise. The front desk staff was a normal person, but the housekeeping staff didn't give a basic greeting when they met in the hallway, and I was surprised when they didn't reply when we greeted them. I don't think there will be any repeats of the group in the above total.

Stayed here on my last night of a recent visit and the stay was very consistent with all the other’s I’ve had with Keio Presso Inn. I was actually impressed at the amount of space the hotel dedicates for self-serve luggage storage in the lobby. It’s one of those higher-end Japanese business hotels that have some added in-room amenities like an air purifier/humidifier and toiletries available right by the elevators in the lobby. The property itself is in between Tokyo Station and Kanda Station (almost equidistant) so heads up if you end up in a JR train that stops in Kanda before Tokyo!

This hotel is located in the centre of Tokyo, within a few minutes walk from Tokyo Station, which is one of the reasons why we chose it. We stayed bed and breakfast, the rooms are smallish especially the bathroom, but it's the standard for Japan as we later discovered. The room was clean but housekeeping not done in the 3 days we stayed, apparently the rooms are cleaned every 4 days although the towels were changed daily. Breakfast was buffet style with a broad range of cuisines from Japanese to continental and plentiful. Staff were courteous and attentive. Reception was somewhat strange with a human helping us check in via a machine! And the same process on checking out. There is an onsite launderette which we used as it was pretty cheap an easy. Sleep quality was average for the location (on a main crossroads and overlooking railway lines). Overall we'd probably stay again.
