HOTEL MYSTAYS PREMIER Akasaka

Had a really comfortable 4 Night stay at this hotel and found everything about it to be absolutely wonderful. Compact but clean, comfortable and well furnished room and associated facilities, super safe and highly accessible location, and wonderful staff that speaks proper English and available round the clock. Not a single thing was wrong about this property and would highly recommend it. Below is a detailed review of each component related to the stay: Rooms: The rooms are compact like every hotel in Japan. Yet the room was super clean, beds are small but very comfortable mattress and pillows. One large luggage piece can be in the room and opening it will reduce space but still manageable. The room has individual AC controls. For the first room the AC did not work so they immediately shifted us to another room despite it being 2 AM in the night. The small refrigerator and freezer in the room work well. TV is slightly older and not a smart Tv. There is electric kettle and tea/green tea provided. There is also a small desk and chair for work. WIFI connectivity is super easy and the internet speed was really good throughout the hotel. There is a safe in the room that often malfunctions and needs hotel employee intervention to reopen. There is a single sofa style easy chair in the room. Rooms are cleaned after 3 days, but towels can be replaced daily and the room trash bin is also cleaned daily. The used towels and bin needs to be left outside the room before 2 PM. There is some space along the room wall to hand clothes on a few hangers. Also there is an Air Refresher spray provided in the room as well as an air purifier. The room walls are super thin and if someone even touches the wall on the other side you will hear it though didn’t hear speaking or talking sounds of any one throughout the four day stay. Bathroom: The bathroom is compact but has very good fixtures. Water pressure in the shower was really good, though the bathtub is quite small. The Japanese toilet work really well. The towels are slightly thin but do the job. They provide tons of bathroom amenities which are of really good quality. The hair dryer is also decent and gets the job done well. Location. Ideal for traveling around Tokyo. The closest Metro station is Akasaka (central station) on the Chiyoda line. From the hotel it’s a downhill walk of exactly 5 minutes from the room to the station. Other lines also connect but the stations are at 12~ 18 minute walk. The area is beautiful and has a diverse population. Facilities: 24/7 Laundry on 12th Floor has 3 washing machines and 3 dryers. Each wash load costs Yen 300 with detergent included while a 20 minute dryer cycle costs Yen 100. There is a small 24/7 operational Seven 11 store with direct elevator access to the store in Basement 1. The reception is also staffed round the clock. Staff: The staff deserve 10 stars for how respectful, helpful, and professional they are. Each staff member at the reception spoke and clearly understood English language. The staff also facilitated the luggage transfer facility. The housekeeping staff do not speak English at all yet you can get along with using sign language and translator apps if you really need to communicate with them. Overall a very pleasant stay and a very good base to explore Tokyo especially most conveniently taking the Chiyoda line. Highly Recommended.

Very nice hotel which is in a great location and good value for money. Friendly, helpful English speaking staff. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Clean decent sized rooms. I think overall this was a great place for us to stay. Walking distance to train station too so was a great base for getting around and seeing the sights of Tokyo.

The hotel is within walking distance of the Akasaka Metro and shopping mall. There are quite a few restaurants around, you can go directly from the hotel at 7/11. The rooms are small but very clean and neat. Unfortunately, it was humid enough in the room throughout the stay. Maybe it's because the room was quite low. Employees are sympathetic, speak English. Personally, it was crucial for me to communicate in Japanese - English was not switched in that case - for which I am extremely grateful. Room service is good. As a compliment, the room features two bottles of water in ukiyo-e decoration. Breakfast! In my memory, this hotel has probably the best breakfasts. Buffet with meat, seafood, delicious coffee, desserts, vegetables. In general, full, delicious and varied. Behind the bar (I don't know what else to call it) there was a very nice girl who was talking to me a little bit in Japanese. She was very kind to me, I wish she'd asked her name - such fine employees should be thanked in person. The hotel has a small fitness room, a modest veranda where you can relax. Really didn't want to take the item off, but unfortunately the humidity in the room was critical... But in any case, the hotel deserves attention!
