Hotel Okura Tokyo

We have stayed at the Okura for three generations but very 30 years. Firstly, my father for business in the 1990s, then I started staying at the old Okura from 2005, and now I have taken my kids c. 20 years later in 2026. The design and look of the lobby remains largely unchanged. Elegant and serene mid-century design that is timeless and unique. The lobby is a destination of its own, one of the best designed lobbies in the world in my view. Rooms were modern, well maintained and exceptionally clean. In room toiletries and towels were of very high standard. The shower room is at spa level. Service staff was omnipresent and impeccable. I much prefer the Okura to other western chains in Tokyo, eg Hyatt, Westin, etc. Development areas are minor: (1) still using breakfast vouchers is cumbersome and old fashioned. Should be much simpler and faster to get access to breakfast, (2) in room TV user interface is difficult to operate and streaming is difficult. There is much easier to use TV technology available today.

Prestige Twin upper floor. The check-in process was impossible. I visited for my birthday, but there was no mention of it, so I felt missed. In addition, even virtuoso was not rated check-out at all and had fewer physical benefits. In addition, there is no one who can speak Korean at the hotel, so it seems convenient for those who speak English or Japanese. However, the process of guiding to the room and coming to the room and explaining it directly felt excellent service. The rooms were high and clean and satisfying. The city view from a wide window was very beautiful. There were more than four bottles of water in the room, and I was able to drink it without a burden every turn down. Breakfast was less than thought, the main cuisine was scarce. I think it would be good if you had a little more cooking or meat ready. The check-out process was very excellent. I was really grateful for not just sending out guests, but checking the destination and carrying luggage to the taxi.

‎‎First-Time Visit ‎ ‎1 Upon Arrival, concierge staff were very quick to assist us with our luggage. Perfect! ‎ ‎2.Check In, made it quick but covered all details we booked with Club benefits. ‎ ‎3.The room at the corner was very nice, very well designed and layout, look and feel very warm tone furniture. The lights control panel was easy to use with curtain open and close functions in the tablet. Room Service is available on the tablet too. ‎ ‎4 Shower and bath tub are very nice, very well toiletries. Everything we needed was prepared there. All towels were very good quality. ‎ ‎5 The Water temperature in the shower was strong.But the rain shower didn't come out well. So requested staff checked and done. ‎ ‎6 The Club Floor had a very nice view and attentive staff  to the care of guests during check in and escort. ‎ ‎7 Mini bars, wine glasses, and water glasses were well prepared. ‎ ‎8 The Sweet in the tray, was prepared with surprises in the box. ‎ ‎9 Key card and room door were nice and real quality. ‎ ‎10.There was  wine opener in the room. ‎ ‎11. Beddings were very nice.Soft and clean. Very well sleep. ‎ ‎12.Extremely Disappointed about the point to earn as booked the room via OTA, online agency.Made our trip so meanless.  Now we just stay and just wait for the day to check out. ‎ ‎13.Evening Cocktail.Staff weren't walk around to top up more drink, only when asking for more, and seem like not allow us to top up drink ourselves. It looks strange. ‎ ‎14.Afternoon Tea, bread canape were stick and not easy to eat. ‎ ‎15 Turn down service was neat and organized. ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎
