Best Hotel

We stayed for 5 consecutive nights from December 29 to January 3. We were told at check-in that we would change the linen for the third night, but it was only the fifth night, the last day, that we changed the linen and cleaned the bath. That was also the response after we pointed it out. I cleaned it myself because there was a lot of hair stuck in the drain of the bath. There were also so many other things, including two forgotten toothbrushes, no refills of toilet paper, and no replacement of used cups until the fifth day. The reception staff were very responsive, but I don't recommend staying for a long time.

When my friend and I decided to extend another day in Tokyo, we booked our stay at The Best Hotel. This is situated at the Korean Village, and is very close to the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku. However, this place is very quiet. We were given a room at the ground floor, which was very convenient for us since we had to check out at 6am. Desperately looking for a place to print our new e-tickets, we requested the concierge to assist us. There was suplosed to be a charge but the gentleman said it was fine and did not accept the payment. This hotel can accept your luggage before your checkin time in order for you to enjoy the city. Since checkin time is at 1600 hours, we would highly suggest that you plan your itinerary in order to maximize your holiday tours. The place has a vending machine outside. It is also a few meters away from Hotel Gracery where you can spot Godzilla. We realized how good and convenient the location is during the evening. The price is so good considering its area. The staff are all very polite and are very accommodating. If given a chance to return and stay in Shinjuku, I would definitely put this in my top list of places to stay.

The hotel is very well located about 3 minutes walk from the JR Shin Okubo station (one stop north of Shinjuku) the Best Hotel lived up to it's name. It's located in 'Korea Town' which featured many great restaurants and street life. It's pretty basic but filled all of my requirements. Clean, good bathroom, good AC (if the weather requires) and friendly staff. I typically prefer a bit softer bed and at least one channel of international news I could understand (lol).. however these small items did not detract from the overall experience. I also felt really good about the price/location. All in all this was a great way to start off my 2 weeks in Japan.
