Hotel Wing International Premium Tokyo-Yotsuya

It's close to the metro, but two metro stops from the center. There's nothing within walking distance. There are local restaurants around, anything you eat here is good. The hotel's breakfast isn't very suitable for Turks, the price is reasonable compared to Tokyo, but very expensive compared to the general average; you can stay in much cheaper and better quality places in Kyoto for half the price. They give you a large room by Tokyo standards. For example, we stayed at Asakusa for a third of the price, but the room was spacious, like a large wardrobe. Is it worth staying there? Yes, but look for a cheap time.

We stayed at Koko Hotel Shinjuku Yotsuya for four nights and paid around 835 USD for our stay, which made the overall experience feel especially disappointing for the price. The hotel promotes itself as eco-friendly, which initially sounded positive. Rooms are only cleaned after three nights, meaning ours was cleaned on the fourth day, and guests are expected to manage their own rubbish daily and hang used towels in an eco bag to receive fresh ones. I support environmentally conscious practices, so this in itself would have been acceptable. However, the approach feels contradictory. In the lobby, there are large quantities of individually wrapped, single-use plastic amenities, including combs, razors, lotions, slippers and more, which completely undermines the eco-friendly claim and feels like a money saving gimmick to employ less staff. Cleanliness was also an issue. There were visible stains on the bedding and curtains, and a noticeable amount of dust that aggravated our allergies. Even after the room was eventually cleaned after three nights, the standard of cleaning was still poor, as shown in the photos we have attached. The beds and pillows were extremely firm and uncomfortable. By the second night, we were waking up with body aches, and the pillows caused neck discomfort and ear pain when sleeping on our sides. There are no tea or coffee-making facilities in the room, which is inconvenient, especially in the mornings. While there is a coffee machine downstairs and the coffee is decent, it is not ideal having to get dressed and go down for something so basic. That said, there are a few positives. The shower was excellent, with strong water pressure and easy temperature control. The TV was good quality and allowed us to log into Netflix. Breakfast had a decent variety, and the self-service pancake station was a fun touch. The location is also very convenient, close to good restaurants, convenience stores and the subway, with easy access to major attractions. In summary, while the location and a few facilities were good, the overall experience did not justify the price. For the same price, or even less, you can stay in five-star hotels in Beijing with far superior cleanliness, amenities and service, which makes this hotel feel particularly poor value for money.

Instead of staying overnight, head to a casual Italian restaurant in the hotel. Drawn to the power word “infinite steak”, I made a reservation on a weeknight to visit. It appears to be an irregular event. I waited in the hotel lobby until I was called. Infinite Steak Course forehand @ ¥2,900 -You can enjoy as much beef and pork steak as you like in 100 minutes. First, you eat 100g each & complete the plate of potatoes before refill time. Refill orders can be placed on mobile devices, with 50 (less) to 100g each. The cows are Australian branded grape cattle. It was relatively lean and very easy to eat. One type of pig is likely to be served from the following brands on a daily basis: Bairin pork, green tea pork, Tahara pork It is also soft, perhaps cooked at low temperatures, and can be eaten crispy, although there are fatty parts. 9 kinds of sauces, self-serve from the sauce bar. I especially like the garlicky grated onion sauce and the slightly spicy thymichurri sauce. It doesn't come with a refill, but it's ready in the same place as the sauce bar, so you can serve it yourself. Self-service all-you-can-drink ¥1,500 was added, so the staff explained it carefully before we started. When I poured beer or highballs on the server, the staff would serve me chilled mugs, which I was very grateful for! They bring it in about 5 minutes after ordering a refill, so we had about a kilogram, mainly cows. I never got tired of it and was full while changing the taste. I'd love to be a part of it another time!
