Keio Presso Inn Shinjuku

We stayed for two weeks; it is not a luxury hotel, but it has everything you need. The staff is always kind and helpful, and the quality of sleep is excellent.

Non-assisting staff at reception. Access escalator in one direction only which is impractical to mount suitcases. Poor quality bedding and very narrow bed

We initially booked a hotel near this but after reading the reviews, we decided to switch to this hotel. The hotel is near the Airport Limousine Bus stop at a nearby hotel which mare it convenient coming from both the airports serving Tokyo. However the nearest train station was about 10-15 minutes walk away. The hotel adhered strictly to the check-in hour of 3pm but we were allowed to store our luggage there. At the ground level, there’s a convenience store as well as opposite the hotel. In the vicinity, a few cafes and convenience stores were also closed by. The room levels needed the room access card when using the lifts. The lifts can go to the first floor below the lobby where one can access the breakfast room and the convenience store. It also offered a way for those with mobility issues on a wheelchair to get to the ground level. The room was clean and small but functional, just as most hotels in Japan were. There was coin laundry available on level 10 as well. A nice gesture was that cold towels kept in fridge at the lift lobby was provided likely due to the hot weather for the past few weeks. A good hotel if you want to stay in this area but could be a challenge for those with mobility issues or old folks like us.
