Asakusa Vista Hotel Tokyo

We stayed here for 8 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the henn na hotel. Conveniently situated on top of a Family Mart store the location is ideal, 2 minutes walk to the Ginza line at Asakusa Tawaramachi underground 〒111-0035 東京都台東区西浅草１丁目１−18 5 minute walk to Kappabashi kitchen town, 〒110-0036 東京都台東区松が谷３丁目１８−2 12 minute walk to the Amazing Senso-ji temple 〒111-0032 東京都台東区浅草２丁目３−1 10 minute to the Fantastic Asakusa Sumo club-〒111-0032 東京都台東区浅草２丁目１０−12 and 15 minutes from the Tokyo Skytree. 〒131-0045 東京都墨田区押上１丁目１−2 We even walked to Ueno Park 〒110-0007 東京都台東区上野公園 and Ameyoko market 〒110-0005 東京都台東区上野６丁目１０−7 ( long walk but beautiful day) The Rooms are Decent size for Tokyo we had no communication problems with the staff and found them very helpful. Would recommend this Hotel.

Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had in Japan. Please pay attention to their behavior. The staff are rude, disrespectful, and will overcharge you for every stay. If you are a senior or have mobility problems, be alert. They do not care about your age or physical condition. Checkout time is 11:00 AM. If you are even one second late, they will charge you 1,500 yen. I explained that my parents have difficulty walking, but one of the male managers shouted at me repeatedly: “Pay, pay, pay!” He even acted as if he would lock us inside the hotel. When I checked in, I planned to use Alipay instead of my company credit card. The staff, who spoke English well, told me they only accept credit card payments. After I checked in and paid, I found a sign clearly showing they accept Alipay and WeChat Pay. When I asked for a refund so I could pay with Alipay, they refused. I asked to speak to a manager, but they made me wait outside for 30 minutes while the staff chatted inside. They never provided any manager contact information—only a generic staff email. I also booked a third night after staying the first two nights. Even though I told them I had already paid the accommodation fee for the first two nights, they forced me to pay the accommodation fee again simply because I extended my stay. Normally, hotels appreciate when guests book additional nights. Instead, they charged another full accommodation fee, which was shocking and unacceptable.

We had a wonderful six-night stay at this hotel. It's a no-frills property, but it's impeccably clean and perfectly located near the metro. The firm bed was comfortable for us, and the on-site FamilyMart was a huge plus for drinks and snacks. We also appreciated the daily housekeeping and fresh towels.
