My first stay in a Toyoko Inn. Close to Tawaramachi (and the Kuramae) stations. Room small, but larger than APA Hotel ones. Has wifi unique to each room, but unfortunately the TV does not support streaming, so no YouTube etc. TV was in an awkward position, to the side of the bed, instead of at the end of it. USB socket near the bed which is always handy. Usual fridge and aircon. The room I was allocated must have had no view (or a view of a wall and aircon units) as there was a near-opaque covering stuck to the window. Breakfast was busy, hot rice, lukewarm everything else. I always managed to get a seat, though they provide takeaway boxes to take to the room. Nice to get a breakfast included for free, even if not amazing. Luggage storage seemed insecure, just a bunch of suitcases piled in the small lobby. Overall, not bad and good for the price (~£40 a night)

This is a decent hotel, provide free breakfast and transport between hotel and Ueno subway station. it is good that it does provide all amenities plus free stay for kids under 12 years old. Please apply to be the member and you will get free stay for every 10 nights stay.

The hotel is above the typical business hotel. I found my room to be a bit larger than most of the moderately priced business types of hotels in Tokyo. Super clean, great shower, close to where I needed to be! Staff was just fine and helpful as well!
