The lobby was very clean. We were given a complimentary soft drink voucher for each person to use in the lounge, so we got juice as soon as we got into the room, and the kids gulped it down. The bath in the room was also large, so we could stretch our legs and relax in it. The food was also very delicious, using ingredients from Yamagata. We were very grateful that they were considerate of our children. We were able to feed the carp, which the kids really enjoyed. We'd definitely like to visit again.

Tachibanaya sits next to a river in a quiet village surrounded by forested mountains. Huge rooms, ofuro, rotemburo and sauna for the onsen experience: yukatas, tatami and kaiseki dining for the ryokan ambience. Meals are served at reserved tables in a dining room. Free shuttle to meet Uetsu line Inaho trains at Atsumi Onsen station. Caters almost exclusively to Japanese guests: a knowledge of onsen etiquette and basic Japanese recommended. I have stayed in many similar places over many years - this is one of the very best. SF: Loistava ja erittäin hyvä arvo.

I liked all the free different yukatas they propose for women at the entrance. The room was warm and beautiful but I would have liked a bigger outdoor bath. The food is delicious. They even served me vegan meals. I appreciate that. Specify your dietary restrictions and theyll cook you something special
