Dormy Inn Kofu Natural Hot Spring - Renewal Open from February 3, 2025

I had to use it the next day and used it the night before. I would choose an inn with a hot spring. After all, it is better to have a large bath and soak in the hot spring. Although there is some distance from Kofu Station, I didn’t have a hard time walking around the city. Although the location is like a shopping street, the restaurants are unevenly distributed and there are many smaller ones, so it takes a bit of time to find them. If you don't focus on hot springs, I think it's easier to stay in front of the station. There is a night-singing soba service, but I've never eaten it myself.

Beautiful hotel where everything is made for guests to relax. When you first come into the room, of course it seems small. And even more stressful is the absence of any closets or drawers or clothing shelves. Yeah, you basically have nowhere to put your clothes. The maximum there are is 2 hangers. But apparently it's specific to Japan. You don't take a lot of stuff and of necessity just wash it. By the way, the hotel has the possibility to wash your belongings free of charge, the only thing you will have to pay for is a dryer (100 yen for 20 minutes). The highlight of the hotel is Onsen on top of the building and everything in it. And there is everything there - all possible means for self-care, two onsen with hot water (one inside, one outside), a sauna with high temperature and a bath with cold water. There are also self-care facilities in the changing area, again including face coverings and a hairdryer. After Onsen, you can enjoy yourself with either free drinks (morning) or free ice cream (afternoon and evening). And every evening (from 9:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.) you can eat a bowl of hot soup in the ground floor restaurant, also free of charge. You arrive at the hotel and everything is ready for your holiday. If I go to Kofu again, I'll try to settle here.

This Dormy Inn is located on Sakuramachi-dori, off Route 411, a short distance from Kofu Station. Check-in and payment are handled by staff, and the service is polite. You can choose what you need from the box in front of the front desk. I got free coffee from the machine in front of the restaurant on the first floor and went to my room, and the room key was a key type with a holder. The room was Dormy Inn standard, and comfortable without any sense of pressure. The large bath is on the 10th floor, and there are about 40 lockers in the dressing room. There are 7 washing areas in the bathroom, and the bath is large and can fit 6-7 people, as well as an open-air bath that can fit 6-7 people, a sauna, and a cold bath. You can see Mt. Fuji from the open-air bath, but the elevator building of the apartment building in front of it blocks the view of the mountain in its entirety. There are massage chairs in the bath area, and Dormy Inn standard service ice cream and lactic acid drinks are also available. For breakfast, a Japanese and Western buffet was served at the restaurant on the first floor, and in addition to the usual Dormy Inn menu, there were local dishes such as Koshu Houtou and chicken motsu stew. I had a comfortable stay at Dormy Inn Standard again this time.
