RAMADA

I don’t understand how this hotel is a 5 star hotel ??? There should be more inspections on hotels like this, this is deceiving. The hotel is not clean at all and it’s a threat to health, I had to open the windows to be able to breath inside the room.

More of an escape room than a hotel room. What once may have been has long fled. This hotel must be due to close soon. Poor reception staff were wearing outdoor clothes when I checked in. I should have left then but I was only meant to be there 4 nights. I asked for a non smoking room, got one with an ashtray. Room was large but stank of dust and decay. Mould on ceilings, wallpaper held on with masking tape, blood on curtains, rust on shower rail, poor tv channels, slow wifi and on and on. Complimentary water was asked for, got it finally day 1 and had to chase it day 3. Tepid water in bathroom, even after running it for 30mins. Maint guy turned up, ran it for longer and it came through finally. Slightly warmer than tepid. A/C hasn't been serviced or cleaned so woke each morning with a dry and sore throat and a mouth tasting of dirt. Restaurants onsite are shut, don’t believe what you read on online booking sites. Gym is shut, pool is shut. Breakfast is stinking, managed to get an Omelette days 1 and 2, bread is stale, no fruit juice available. Cheapest instant coffee on offer and staff who don’t see customers too often stand and stare while you eat. Smoking allowed in breakfast area... yay. No airport shuttles and nothing appealing in the area. I booked it because the Ramada name is quite good elsewhere. Never going to book a Ramada again. It was close where I needed to be but I wish I had just looked further afield. I checked out a day early as I couldn’t face another night there. Ramada. Do the area a favour and pull it down.

Arrived at the hotel for a 3 night stay for business, hotel looked OK from the outside, but was very quiet inside, just a few staff. I reached my room and then started to realise what a mistake I'd made booking this hotel. The room was more than a little dated, it was grubby, tired furniture, peeling wallpaper, the supplies for the hot drinks were not worth the risk - picture attached. Then I checked the bathroom.... Err... More of the same, discoloured toilet seat, sealing beads around floor and bath were dirty/mouldy. I then questioned if the hotel is on an eco or green drive, as the bath gel had either already been part used and just put back, or just half full. With it being hot I thought I'd go for a swim, reception explained that the 2 lift shafts go up to either male or female sides of the sport area and one of the staff would show me. I was guided to the lift on the other side of the lobby, which he couldn't get to work so walked through another door and he put me into the service / staff elevator.... Really, in a 5 start hotel! The gym was not only deserted of staff, but looked old, with damaged and worn floor around the ageing equipment, and baking hot..... No chance of cooling off, as there was no water in the pool I found. Enough was enough, I packed my things and went to check-out, explaining my reasons... There wasn't even an apology, or offer to change room.... So I paid for a full night for just 3 hours and left. I would strongly recommend looking at alternative hotels..... This was just awful.
