La Folie Lodge

Wow what a fabulous place. It was beautiful and so peaceful. We had a lovely cottage a short walk from the restaurant and pool. You take a boat ride to arrive at La Folie lodge which a great experience in itself. Onsite there is a yoga teacher and we did a couple of classes. My husband took a bike and rode around the island. Even though you are on a river there is a massive expanse if sand so it feels like a beach, we took a wander to the waters edge and came across a herd of cattle. Food at the hotel was great. I would go back in a heart beat.

A haven of peace. An establishment where everything is enchanting. The welcome is exceptional, the park and the bungalows beautiful. The junction between La Folie Lodge and the Mekong is made by old tractor. An indelible image... to be recommended with your eyes closed.

This is a quite exceptional hotel. Staff and management are friendly, warm, helpful and always busy. You can see how expertly managed it is by their effort and attitude. The location is both restorative and transcendental. Pool and facilities excellent, breakfast was delicious and evening meal superb. We would definitely come back and recommend to every traveller through Laos. The welcoming massage and grounds and design are perfect. Five star plus!!
