Pon Arena Hotel

We had a massive room overlooking the river. We picked this hotel based on its location so could visit the local area. It has a decent sized pool and there are lots of casual places to eat in walking distance. Breakfast was decent.

Outdated rooms, and dirty!!! Bathroom without shower with a bathtub with disgusting black joints. Stained walls, horrible, old furniture. Any food without taste, 2 spiders and midges in the soup.... Overpriced drinks.... only the 2 pools and the view can explain the ratings of other travelers or they have a very low level of requirement!!!! What a disappointment!!!

The hotel consists of two buildings. The older one with restaurant and bool, is more for tour groups. We were lucky enough in the new to occupy a super nice spacious room. There's nothing to complain about. Breakfast was extensive, dinner simple but good. What was disturbing on the terrace the many butterflies, but a beautiful sunset.
